Workforce shortages, the employment of foreign nationals, the activation of 50+ and retired workforce groups, and stronger cooperation between employers and educational institutions are becoming increasingly important topics for businesses across Serbia.

These were among the key themes discussed at the working breakfast "The Labour Market in Serbia: Opportunities and Challenges in Employment", organised by BSCC in partnership with the Nacionalna služba za zapošljavanje / Национална служба за запошљавање ( National Employment Service ), Hellenic Business Association of Serbia (HBA) and Belgian-Serbian Business Association (BSBA).

Participants had the opportunity to exchange views on current labour market developments and learn more about the National Employment Service's programmes and support measures for employers, including recruitment assistance, training initiatives, employment incentives, and workforce inclusion programmes.

A particularly valuable takeaway was the reminder that many of the services provided by the National Employment Service are available to employers free of charge, offering practical support in addressing recruitment and workforce development challenges.
