Given the challenges faced by Serbia in greening its power generation and ahead of COP26 taking place in Glasgow later this year, both Chambers are cooperating to contribute both to develop solutions for Serbia and to promote and amplify the Humber's capabilities in green energy. The Humber is a global leader in the race to zero and its capabilities in carbon capture technologies are second to none. Serbia is embracing the concept of creating a green economy, and investment in renewable energy whilst exploring the feasibility of carbon capture for its more recently built coal powered electricity generation. Speakers included: Darren Cunningham, General Manager, Humber Refinery, Phillips 66 Richard Gwilliam, Head of Cluster Development, Drax Power Station Phil Jones, Director Link Agency and President, Hull & Humber Chamber of Commerce David Landsman, Chairman, Cerebra Global Strategy and Chair, British-Serbian Chamber of Commerce Stefano Maio - Business Development, Bechtel Civil Infrastructure George Whittaker - Business Development Manager, Bechtel as well as Martin Vickers MP, the UK's Trade Envoy to the Western Balkans
