The British-Serbian Chamber of Commerce was delighted to host its inaugural UK–Serbia Business Networking Reception on 5 May, welcoming approximately 120 distinguished guests, industry leaders, partners and key stakeholders. The event was held at the Residence of His Excellency Ambassador Edward Ferguson, whose generous hospitality and continued support contributed greatly to the success of the evening. The Chamber extends its sincere appreciation to Ambassador Ferguson for hosting the reception, delivering the opening remarks, and reaffirming the importance of strengthening commercial ties between the United Kingdom and Serbia.
The formal programme commenced with the welcoming remarks from His Excellency Ambassador Edward Ferguson, highlighting the importance of trade and investment between the United Kingdom and Serbia, encompassing the growing ties between the two business communities over the years and emphasizing the importance of mutual cooperation. This was then followed by the BSCC Executive Director Jadranka Dervisevic Kitaric, who introduced the Chamber’s mission, outlined its strategic vision and presented key initiatives and opportunities available to both existing and newly registered members.
Subsequently, representatives from our member companies spanning a diverse range of sectors, including architecture, pharmaceuticals, automotive, IT, event management, metallurgy, and telecommunications, shared first-hand accounts of their engagement and collaborative experiences within the network. We extend our sincere gratitude to all the speakers for contributing their valuable insights, which beautifully illustrated the dynamic partnerships and shared growth fostered within the Chamber's community.
Participating member companies included: A3CHITECTS, AstraZeneca, British Motors, Enetel Solutions, Identity, Metalfer, Telekom Srbija and many others.
The second part of the evening provided an excellent opportunity for networking and professional engagement in the elegant setting of the Ambassador’s Residence. New members were able to connect directly with the established member companies of the Chamber, exchange ideas, explore potential collaborations and engage with the BSCC executive team regarding future initiatives and collaborations.
The reception served as another highly successful and enjoyable gathering for the Chamber, reflecting the growing synergy between the British and Serbian business communities and reinforcing the BSCC’s role as a platform for meaningful dialogue, cooperation, and commercial opportunity.
We would once again like to thank all of the attendees, participating member speakers, and distinguished guests for joining us.
